La Keenya, widely known as the Fashionista Chef, is the visionary force and founder of TEMP CHEF, bringing over 13 years of experience as a classically French-trained chef from Le Cordon Bleu. More than a chef, she is a culinary leader who blends artistry, heritage, and sustainability into every dish she creates.
Her culinary journey began long before the classroom-rooted in the heart of her family kitchen. Inspired by her mother, Gloria, and the soulful summer days spent with her grandmother, Robertha, in South Carolina, La Keenya was immersed in a world where food was love, community, and legacy. These formative experiences - marked by farm-to-table traditions, neighborly exchanges, and meals made with the season's freshest bounty-ignited a lifelong passion for nourishing others.
TEMP CHEF is a manifestation of her bold vision: to elevate culinary experiences while honoring sustainable practices and cultural roots.
